Ironbark Dog Café, Victoria Point
Looking for a little more excitement than you and your family might find at an ordinary dog park? Ironbark Dog Café is Brisbane’s one and only off-leash dog park which doubles as an espresso bar! Dog owners can not only order babycinos for their bubs but also puppycinos for their pups!
Located at Victoria Point outside a charming white, character cottage surrounded by shady tropical gardens, Ironbark also includes a classic Kombi driven by a huge stuffed dog which the kids will find cool to hop inside as pretend passengers. Meanwhile pets can partner up together on a specially designed loveseat for dogs after romping around the garden beds.
Bright yellow and blue chairs and a freestanding surfboard complete the chilled-out atmosphere which feels more like a big backyard play area with a puppy pamper station!

Powerhouse Dog Park, New Farm
City dwelling dog owners appreciate Powerhouse Dog Park’s wide, oval expanse of nature for their pooches to sniff around. Nuzzled near New Farm’s fig tree playground, Powerhouse is also a favourite for families to take their children to play (but only after they’ve made an effort to walk their beloved pet along the Brisbane River)!
Also showcased to nose around, is a teary-eyed, vintage, marble vehicle modelled after the grocer truck that once delivered fresh fruit and vegetables to New Farm’s markets. A conversation piece for the kids to climb on while dogs do their business!
As a reward for the parents too, adults can takeaway an almond latte from one of neighbouring streets’ trendy coffee shops, then rest on a bench with their fur baby at their feet. Meanwhile the kids climb the big fig treehouse and their adorable bow-wow laps up the attention of those curious toddlers whose parents allow them to have a pat!
Tuckaroo Dog Park, Nudgee Beach
Not only a park but a designated dog swimming area, Tuckaroo Park, is adjacent to Nudgee Beach for pooches that love to pounce on the waves! Children can build sand castles while parents unpack picnics and dogs beg for biscuits.
Beach shacks are abundant in this tiny homestead so you can even book pet-friendly accommodation for a family weekend getaway. For exercise there is a fenced in agility course or your pet can frolic in the sea while playing fetch. The tidal section requires dogs to be on a leash but an off-leash area near the fishing pontoon provides free water play.

Colmslie Recreation Reserve Off Leash Dog Park, Morningside
A spacious and proper riverfront playground for dogs, Morningside’s Colmslie Recreation Reserve contains an obstacle course complete with dexterity equipment for pets to keep fit. Dogs can race up and down ramps, explore tunnels, and then paddle in the water.
After socialising in the sand with other dogs, you can find children’s playgrounds, BBQs and picnic shelters at nearby Colmslie Beach Reserve, for more family fun and recreation!
