The weight limit of a trampoline is one of the most important things to consider before purchasing one.
Why? Jumping on a trampoline while weighing over its weight limit can cause you to bottom out or fall through the trampoline.
Just imagine falling on the springs of a trampoline or straight to the ground while jumping high in the air. It’s not a pretty picture and could very well result in a trip to the emergency room.
But since you’re here, you’re already increasing your chances of avoiding that nightmarish scenario. Because today, we’re going to be giving you the truth about the weight limits of our Springfree Trampolines.
In this article, we will explain what the Springfree Trampoline weight limits are, how they are calculated and why they are important to follow. We’ll also touch on how Springfree weight limits compare to other trampolines’ weight limits.
After reading this, you will understand how much weight Springfree Trampolines can safely hold and be able to assess whether you and your family would be a candidate for one!
Do Springfree Trampolines Have a Weight Limit?
Every trampoline has a weight limit: Springfree Trampolines are no different in that regard.
The weight limit for Springfree Trampolines, and most other trampolines, are measured in two different ways: Single jumper weight capacity and maximum structural weight.
They differ substantially from each other, so let’s dive into more detail about the two types of trampoline weight measurements:
Single Jumper Weight Capacity vs. Maximum Structural Weight
The single jumper weight capacity, which is the individual weight limit, is calculated by the manufacturer of the trampoline and is based on how heavy you are and how high you jump.
It’s set to protect jumpers from ‘bottoming out’ (touching the ground while jumping) when they meet maximum height on the trampoline.
***The single jumper weight capacity is what you need to pay attention to when shopping for a trampoline!
On the other hand, the maximum structural weight is the total amount of static weight a trampoline can hold without collapsing or inflicting damage to itself (i.e., rods snapping, springs breaking legs buckling, frame bending, etc.)
The main difference between the two is that the single jumper weight capacity accounts for the downward force of the jumper, while the maximum structural weight specifies the amount of weight the trampoline can hold when an object is at rest.
Because the single jumper weight capacity accounts for the downward force of the jumper, the maximum structural weight will always be more than the single jumper weight capacity. Let’s dive into specific numbers in the next section!
What Are the Weight Limits of Springfree Trampolines?
Every Springfree Trampoline can hold between 590 – 680 kgs of maximum structural weight, depending on the model you’re looking at. After an unfortunate rollaway, we’ve literally seen a Springfree Trampoline hold a mid-sized SUV with minimal damage!
But that’s just the maximum weight capacity it can hold at a static or standstill weight. The single jumper weight capacity, as mentioned in the previous section, is the number you need to pay attention to when deciphering whether your jumpers can safely jump on the trampoline.
The following are the trampoline weight limits for each Springfree Trampoline model:
-
Springfree Mini-Round, Compact Oval and Compact Round Trampolines – 80 kgs
-
Springfree Medium Oval, Medium Round, Large Oval, Large Square, Jumbo Square and Jumbo Oval – 100 kgs
***The numbers above are the weight capacities you should follow if you’re searching for a Springfree Trampoline.

How Do Springfree Trampoline Weight Limits Compare to Other Brands?
Another question that you might have about the weight limits of Springfree Trampolines is: How do they compare to other trampolines’ weight limits?
Springfree Trampolines are considered to have standard weight limits. While they can hold as much static weight as most trampolines, their individual weight limits are about average compared to others.
For example, a Jumpflex 12 ft Trampoline has an individual jumper weight limit of 90kg. That’s low compared to the Springfree equivalent, the Springfree Large Square Trampoline which is 100kg.
However, Vuly's Large Thunder Pro Trampoline has a 150kg weight capacity, which is slightly higher than the Large Square Trampoline.
The weight capacity of trampolines depends on which brands you’re comparing and what size of trampoline you’re looking at.
Is the Weight Limit of a Springfree Trampoline Important?
The individual weight limits on Springfree Trampolines are critical to follow. Failing to adhere to the weight limit could cause the trampoline to bottom out, which can result in significant injury.
Can you technically jump on a Springfree Trampoline if you weigh over its stated weight limit? Yes. But you run the risk of bottoming out and falling to the ground if you reach maximum height on the trampoline.
We always recommend you follow the stated weight capacities to ensure you’re as safe as possible when jumping. However, it is ultimately your decision if you weigh more than the weight limit and still want to jump.
We’re discussing the weight limits of Springfree Trampolines, specifically, today, but we’ve previously written on the trampoline weight limits for all outdoor trampolines, including breaking them down by size.
